Take the CWP classes from C&S in Charleston SC and have everything taken care of for you. Our Saturday class covers the legal aspects of carrying a firearm, the laws governing lethal force, as well as safety, storage, firearms and ammunition options.
Range qualification is completed on the same day.
Fingerprinting is done on site for no additional charge.
The course of fire requires a functioning handgun, holster at least 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, belt holster and a valid South Carolina Driver License with the current address. If the student does not own a firearm or have equipment for the class, C&S will provide a firearm, holster and eye and ear protection free of charge for course use.
Ammunition is available for purchase (use of C&S firearms requires the in-store purchase of ammunition).
The cost of this class is all-inclusive and covers all expenses, including fingerprinting.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ
* Once you submit the form below you will be registered for the class date you selected.
* Seven days prior to the class you will be sent an email confirming your enrollment in the class with the address of the class, instructor information, and any other pertinent information related to the class. (If you register for the class within 7 days of the class date you will be sent the class details individually once we receive your request)
* If you need to cancel from the class you signed up for, please email cwptraining@sled.sc.gov<mailto:cwptraining@sled.sc.gov> and notify us that you need to be removed from the class. You can sign up for a different class at any time.
* There IS a required shooting portion of the CWP course, and YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A HANDGUN, 25 rounds of ammunition for that handgun, ear protection, and eye protection (sunglasses and glasses are fine).
* There is a test and shooting portion at the end of the course which you must pass with a 70%.
* You must have a South Carolina Driver’s License/ID or own real property in South Carolina to attend this course.
